"Empowering Communities Through Culturally Responsive Education"
Our Program
Discover how our programs empower parents, support students, and transform school communities.

At Voices in Education, we believe that informed families create thriving students. Our Parent Navigation Sessions are interactive workshops designed to support immigrant, newcomer, and EAL families in understanding how Alberta’s school system works.
From report cards and assessment to school communication and parent-teacher conferences, we walk with families through the everyday realities of education—so no one feels left out or left behind.
Through these sessions, parents gain the tools, language, and confidence they need to advocate for their children, build relationships with teachers, and become active partners in their child’s learning journey.
What You'll Learn:
-
How the Alberta school system works (K–12)
-
Understanding report cards and assessments
-
Your rights and responsibilities as a parent
-
Tips for communicating with teachers and principals
-
Resources and supports available in your school community
